I felt terrible all last week and even went home from work early on Monday to rest. By Tuesday I thought I had beaten whatever was attacking me but by Friday, it was clear that my body had become some flu virus' bitch.
The weekend was lost to bed rest, frequent naps, and plenty of fluids.
I tried to go in to work yesterday (Monday) afternoon but after a quick trip to the bank and some lunch, it was clear that I needed to go home. I could barely walk because my legs felt weak and I was dizzy.
I felt much better when I got up to go to work today but after an easy commute and a short walk to my building I felt like I was going to fall over from exhaustion. So, I made my excuses once again and went home. Now I'm beginning to wonder when I can reasonably expect to be well again. Not only has the novelty of being home during the workday worn off but I'm taking two weeks of vacation starting next week and I would really hate to be bedridden for any of it.
Tattoo
I feel like, despite the flu, my tattoo has been healing nicely. A comment on this post on my tattoo includes new photos.
Knitting
I considered it for several weeks and even discussed it with a few people first and I've taken up knitting. Why does this feel like a horrible secret? Probably because every time I take up the needles and yarn, what ever I make looks really horrible. Being sick, though, may give me time to improve. Oddly enough, and here's the thing that lets me feel better about this hobby, my tattoo artist knows how to knit. I may end up going to him for a tutorial if I can't get the hang of it.
