Death

Unfortunately,  Death rolled 20 giving a Critical Hit, resulting in his demise

Truly an icon, a myth and legend in his own time....

Thanks to transparent sticky plastic, I think I still have my original D&D rule book somewhere.....

...along with Baby Jeebus.

He sails from world to world in a flying tomb, serving gods who eat hope.

I played with my friends in junior high. Tonya, Lisa, Laura, Cathy and I won an award at the local con for playing D&D. Probably because we were cute kids.

You've got to love Wikipedia by riceowlguy (4.00 / 5) #9 Tue Mar 04, 2008 at 03:11:44 PM EST
When I first went to his page a few minutes ago (linked from MeFi), the entire article had been replaced by "U R A FAG".

Now it's back to normal.  I love the understatement of the comment in the history:

"Hi, the recent edit you made to Gary Gygax has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive."

I had to ditch most of my D&D stuff.

I still cry myself to sleep at night over it.

(just kidding about the crying, it's more of a whimpering)

though I like ATS a little bit more, their basic game one is paratroopers in Normandy, their basic game two is Stalingrad (shades of the Guards Counterattack).

under $30 for an ASL starter kit by georgeha (4.00 / 2) #28 Tue Mar 04, 2008 at 10:55:35 PM EST
after shipping. There's a free PDF somewhere on the net containing about half of starter kit 1, but then you'd have to mount your own counter.

If you just want classic SL, about $10 on ebay.
